Abstract:
Gu Hongming, a translator in the late Qing Dynasty of China, first appealed for the literacy construction of translation and introduction of
the Analects of Confucius, whose literariness and ideology were placed in the same important position. The English version of
the Analects of Confucius translated by Gu Hongming conveys the literariness of the original text faithfully and creatively from chapters, syntax, rhetoric and rhyme on the premise of translating the rich connotation, and highlights the literary characteristics of
the Analects of Confucius as a literary work, which provides important guidance and reference value for Chinese classics going abroad successfully.
