Abstract: The leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) is the most essential feature of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the destiny of the Chinese nation. The CPC has always kept in mind that the interests of the people are above all else, has always been in touch with the people, breathed with them and shared their destiny, and has always relied on the people to push history forward. Relying on the support and participation of the people is the root advantage of the CPC in dealing with major epidemics. If we rely on the people, the epidemic prevention and control war will have the broadest root advantage and will be won; if we detach from the people, the epidemic prevention and control war will lose the source of strength and the basis of victory.
