Abstract
The finding of a comprehensive survey of the tourism versions in government portals in English in Southern Anhui international tourism district with four government portals reveals that there remain a lot to be strengthened and optimized.The construction of government portals in English, especially the tourism versions, should highlight its local characteristics and geographic features. The translation of publicity texts should be be humanized designed and based on international publicity audience. And government portals in English can better play a role as an authoritative arena in international communications.
