An Analysis and Countermeasures of Regional Distribution Disparity of Popular Science Resources in China

By constructing the evaluation index system of the resources of popularization of science which is based on five first grade indexes and seven second grade indexes, the comprehensive evaluation of the development of the resources of popularization of science and the analysis of the relevance between the resources of popularization of science and economic developmental level of 28 provinces, municipalities and districts in the mainland of China are analyzed in this paper. In general, the resources of popularization of science in most areas have increased. Areas with higher economic level have higher level of the resources of popularization of science accordingly. However, they are not significantly correlated. There exists great difference in the regional distribution of the resources of popularization of science among the three major regions. Inside the region, there is more obvious difference of distribution of resources of popularization of science in the east than in central regions.
