An Empirical Study of the Impact of Gender Role Concept on Women's Income

This paper analyses the influence of women's gender role concept on their income empirically, and examine the mediation effect of housework time by using data of China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) in 2014. The results show that modern gender role concept helps to reduce women's housework time and give women more time and energy to enter the labor market or engage themselves into work, which helps to improve women's income.
