Abstract
This paper investigates the employment value orientation of college students majoring in medicine, engineering and agriculture through a questionnaire survey. Results show that most of them intend to work in the first- and second-tier cities, among which the proportion of students majoring in medicine and engineering is significantly larger than that of agricultural majors. Secondly, professional counterparts, social status, stable and comfortable work, welfare and popularity of workplace are generally concerned by students. In addition, there are some differences among occupational expectations of students in the three majors, but salary and work area are still common factors affecting the employment of them.
