Gender Demand and Planning Countermeasures of Green Leisure Space on Campus

Taking the campus space design of a university as the research object, this paper analyzes the various demands of male and female college students on campus green leisure space by means of behavior observation, questionnaire survey, on-site interview and other methods.The study found that female students' satisfaction with the current university green leisure space design was significantly lower than male students, while female students' demands for space scale, security, privacy, rest seats and lighting were all higher than male students. Therefore, the difference of gender needs should be fully taken into account in the design of public space on campus.
