An Experimental Study of the Effect of “Output Oriented Approach” on CET-4 Translation

  • "Output oriented approach" is a foreign language teaching theory,which aims to solve the problem of "separation of learning and using" in foreign language teaching. As a single question, paragraph translation in CET-4 usually has the highest score, and it is difficult for the examinee to handle it well. Under the guidance of the theory of "output oriented approach",this study investigates the influence of this approach on paragraph translation in CET-4.It is found that the application of "output oriented approach" in teaching helps to build learners' translation ability.It can not only improve the result of CET-4 paragraph translation,help learners master the target language items,reduce the rate of grammatical errors,but also fundamentally improve learners' overall English quality.
