Abstract
A questionnaire survey has been conducted among teachers and students of some colleges and universities on the curriculum setting of mental health education for college students. Results show that different colleges and universities lack a "unified consensus" on the positioning and function of the course in the curriculum system of talent training. The needs of college students for mental health education reflect the characteristics of paying equal attention to both developmental goals and preventive goals, and paying much more attention to skill goals than knowledge goals. Colleges and universities should explore and construct the curriculum system of "compulsory courses + series of elective courses" for college students' mental health education, build positive curriculum goal and content, and form the implementation system of autonomous experiential mental health education and the scientific and effective evaluation system for college students' mental health education curriculum.
