Influence of English and American Pronunciation Differences on College Students' English Listening Comprehension and Countermeasures

This paper analyzes the influence of English and American pronunciation differences on college students' English listening comprehension from three aspects:complexity of English and American pronunciation differences, discontinuity of pronunciation in English listening teaching and single pronunciation of listening materials. Some ways to avoid the influence have been discussed based on the three principles of scientific nature, technical nature and biological nature, so as to help students overcome mistakes caused by the differences of English and American pronunciation in the process of listening comprehension as soon as possible.
