Teaching Exploration of Urban Design Course under CDIO Mode

The teaching mode of urban design course under CDIO mode is constructed based on urban problems. The teaching process is divided into conceive (C), design (D), implement (I) and operate (O). The teaching links are determined as design topic selection, site investigation, theoretical research, case analysis, design sketch, thematic discussion, virtual simulation, report and defense, and the strengthening process control. This paper introduces the joint evaluation system, from paying attention to"results" to "process", focusing on the cultivation of students' innovation ability. Through the feedback mechanism of urban design, the problems in the teaching process of urban design course are continuously improved and perfected in the teaching practice.
