Three Key Principles of Telling Chinese Stories Well in Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Colleges and Universities

  • Telling Chinese stories well not only serves as the fundamental principle for the Party and the country to do the public opinion work well at present, but also provides value guidance and methodology guidance for the teaching of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities in the new era. Since the new era, ideological and political courses have achieved remarkable results in the practice and exploration of integrating “Chinese stories” into teaching. However, there are still some problems, such as more macro propaganda and less specific analysis, more practical discussion and less in-depth digging, more teachers’ explanation and less students’ participation, which restrict the function and effect of “Chinese stories” in ideological and political class. Ideological and political courses in colleges and universities in the new era should follow the principles of political guidance, the integration of emotion and reasoning and the interaction of subjects, effectively show the essence of ideological and political courses telling Chinese stories well, and constantly enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political courses casting soul and educating people.
