The Comparison of Flower Patterns on Chinese, Korean and Japanese Blue and White Porcelains during 17-18 Century

  • The application of flower patterns to blue and white porcelains has a long history. The existence of flower patterns is inseparable from culture and religion. The application of techniques, suitable materials, cultures and symbolic meanings of Chinese, Korean and Japanese flower patterns to blue and white porcelains embodies national features respectively. The flower patterns on Japanese and Korean blue and white porcelain are closely related with their own cultures and with Chinese cultures as well.
