A Study on the Influence of Motivation, Efficiency and Attribution on College Students' English Learning

Abstract
Motivation, efficacy and attribution affect the effectiveness of English learning. A quantitative study of motivation, efficacy and attribution of some English majors in higher vocational colleges shows that motivation and efficacy are not high in general, and attribution introversion is obvious. There was a significant positive correlation and positive predictive variable between motivation and efficacy, and that between efficacy and attribution. There were significant positive correlations among intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, ability self-confidence, goal self-confidence, coping self-confidence, intrinsic factor and extrinsic factor. Teachers should help students build up confidence in English learning, improve the level of intrinsic motivation and in turn the learning effect.
