The Enlightenment of Philosophy of Mind on Translation of Ancient Chinese Fables——Taking Yang Xianyi's Translation of Xian Jiu as an Example

  • The philosophy of mind mainly studies the relationship between human psychological attitude, language and the external world. It explains and standardizes how language users use language from a cognitive perspective. From the analysis of Yang Xianyi's translation of Xian Jiu from the perspective of philosophy of mind's intentional theory, it can be seen that the translator restores the event under the care of intentional content, and chooses the appropriate translation strategies through the analysis of intentional attitude, so as to enable readers to identify the content of the original event and the implied meaning potential.
