A Practical Exploration of Formative Assessment in Course Teaching

  • Formative assessment transfers teachers' and students' attention from teaching results to teaching process, which helps to stimulate students' learning motivation and improve teaching quality. Judging from the pilot work of formative assessment in our university, it is necessary to reduce the extra work that formative teaching brings to teachers, relieve the pressure of class hours by adopting various teaching forms, increase incentives to improve teachers' enthusiasm, and gradually adopt small class teaching methods, so as to improve the quality of formative assessment and give full play to its advantages.
