Reflection and Review on the Multidisciplinary Research Methods of Criminology

In the current study of criminology, multi-disciplinary research methods have been widely used, which is of great significance to deepen the theory and discipline system of criminology. However, it still lacks of self-reflection on the preconditions of the study, such as whether there is coherence between different disciplines, whether the application of multi-disciplines can really promote or generalize new categories or theories of criminology, and to what extent it can promote the study of criminology. We should face up to the problems existing in the multi-disciplinary research methods, and strive to promote the integration of subject knowledge, the beneficial use of subject methods and the refinement of criminological theories and categories.
