Digital protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage is a hot research direction in contemporary era. Three-dimensional digital technology should be used to protect and inherit the decorative arts of ancient residential buildings in southern Anhui Province by means of data acquisition and positioning, virtual restoration and repair, online three-dimensional cloud display and other methods; What's more, innovation and recreation of cultural and creative industries and the setting of specialty courses in colleges and universities should be adopted to catalyze the transition of decorative arts of ancient residential buildings in southern Anhui Province to contemporary cultural industries, so as to provide a new dimension for the promotion, inheritance and development of Hui school's artistic form.
