A Reinterpretation of Jane Eyre Based on Personality Schema

  • Jane Eyre not only criticizes and resists the social mainstream ideology such as hierarchy, patriarchal ideology and religious concept, but also obeys and maintains it secretly. This seemingly contradictory ambiguous attitude embodies the understanding of arrogant retaliatory personality schema to the world and interpersonal relationship on the one hand, and on the other hand reflects the author Charlotte Bronte's compromise to reality, in order to seek to correct and make up for the negative effects of interpersonal tension and loneliness caused by this schema, and to construct a fragile balance.
