A Corpus-based Study on the Translation of High Frequency Words in “the Belt and Road Initiative”

A small corpus is built based on the official English translation of Government Work Report from 2013 to 2019. This paper analyzes some common phenomena in the translation of high-frequency words in political texts since “the belt and road initiative” was put forward, and discusses the causes of such phenomena from the aspects of part of speech distribution, nominalization and lexical collocation of semantic prosody.
