Thoreau was the greatest ecologist who sought the meaning of human existence in the 19th century. In Walden, he conveys his unique thoughts of ecological existence through three aspects, namely, harmony, morality and limitation in his works which he expounds the new connotation of harmonious coexistence of man and nature from philosophical level.
