On the Regional Characteristics of Plant Landscape Design of Historic Garden Entrances in Nanjing

On the basis of the investigation and analysis of the entrance plants of 6 historic famous gardens, such as Nanjing Zhanyuan, Mochouhu Park, Xuyuan, Yuyuan, Jiming Temple, and Ganxi Residence.This paper starts from three aspects: entrance form, plant species and disposition characteristics. Based on the regional characteristics of Nanjing, this paper discusses the regional characteristics of the entrance plant landscape of historic gardens under the background of Nanjing natural conditions and regional culture. Results show that the regional expressions of Nanjing historical gardens embody in the four aspects: natural, humanistic, landscape features and entrance form.
