On the Artistic Characteristics and Inheritance Path of Wuhu Iron Painting

  • Wuhu iron painting was born in the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty. Before that, it mainly existed in the form of iron flowers as a daily necessity, with the property of utensils and tools. In the evolution of history, more and more elements of traditional art have been integrated into the iron flower so that the unique iron painting has been achieved. The process from iron flower to iron painting is the sublimation of technical artistry and the continuation and generation of Chinese artistic spirit in iron painting. In order to inherit and develop Wuhu iron painting, the artistry of iron painting should be carried forward.
