Can Agricultural Insurance and Credit Linkage Improve Agricultural Output Better?

  • Based on the modified Solow model, the impact of agricultural insurance and agricultural credit linkage on agricultural output and the mediating effect of capital input are tested empirically by constructing a theoretical framework of agricultural insurance and agricultural credit linkage to promote agricultural output. It is found that agricultural credit can promote agricultural output, the effect of agricultural insurance on agricultural output is not significant, and the linkage of agricultural insurance and credit can better promote agricultural output. The linkage between agricultural insurance and credit promotes farmers' capital investment in agricultural production, which in turn increases agricultural output, i.e. capital investment is the mediating effect of promoting agricultural output. Based on this, we should vigorously improve the supply of rural financial system, promote the integration of banking and insurance, and increase the efforts of financial support to agriculture and financial support to agriculture.
