On the Feeling of Life in Morandi's Painting Language

Abstract
Painting language is the painter's aesthetic expression of objective life, which is an organic integration of skills, forms, ideas and spirit. Whether in topic selection, modeling, color, light, shadow or space, Morandi's still life paintings all reveal a distinctive oriental artistic interest. Behind the simple bottles and cans and the seemingly inadvertent paintings, what is hidden is the rigorous composition layout and concise freehand brushwork. The seemingly lifeless gray creates a quiet and distant artistic conception of beauty.
