Female Education Propositions in World of Women of the Late Qing Dynasty

As the most influential women’s journal in the late Qing Dynasty, World of Women was a powerful communicator of women’s education. From cover design to column setting, it conveyed the message that women needed knowledge, independence and freedom, and called for and advocated women’s liberation with a distinct stand. World of Women advocated the modernization of women’s education, advocated the establishment of women’s school, women’s body liberation, women’s sports and so on, which promoted the development of modern women’s education to some extent.
