Research on Discipline Construction of Local Engineering Colleges——Take an Engineering College in Anhui Province as an Example

By using the analytical method of bibliometrics, this paper makes a statistical analysis of the research papers published by an engineering college in Anhui province from 2015 to 2019 from the aspects of annual publications, discipline distribution, literature sources and funding/projects, etc. It is found that there are some problems in the college, such as imbalanced discipline development, lack of high-level talents and low scientific research and academic level. Local colleges should give full play to the characteristics of their own disciplines, cultivate key disciplines, form a benign ecological environment of disciplines, make great efforts in introducing and cultivating high-level talents and improving the level of scientific research, and strengthen the cooperation between colleges and enterprises, so as to promote the development of scientific research, personnel training and discipline construction.
