The Influence of Professional Identity on Learning Engagement of Medical College Students: The Mediating Role of Learning Motivation

  • In order to explore the mediating effect of learning motivation of medical college students between professional identity and learning engagement, a total of 862 college students were investigated by professional identity questionnaire, Learning Motivation Scale and Learning Engagement Scale. The results showed that the scores of medical college students' professional identity, learning motivation and learning engagement were generally at a medium level. There was a significant positive correlation among professional identity, learning motivation and learning engagement of medical college students. Professional identity and learning motivation have a significant predictive effect on learning engagement, and learning motivation has a mediating effect between professional identity and learning engagement. Strengthening college students' professional guidance and learning motivation is an important condition for college students' smooth enrollment adaptation and good development.
