Digital Finance, Technological Innovation and High-quality Development of Regional Manufacturing IndustryAn Empirical Study Based on the Yangtze River Delta Region

Using the entropy weight method to evaluate the level of high-quality development of the manufacturing industry in 41 cities in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region, the study empirically analyzes digital finance, technological innovation and regional high-quality development of the manufacturing industry in the YRD region in the period of 2011—2019 based on the mediation effect model. The study finds that the level of digital finance development and the level of regional manufacturing high-quality development show a significant positive correlation, because digital finance can effectively drive the regional manufacturing high-quality development; the mechanism of influence shows that digital finance can promote the regional manufacturing high-quality development through the transmission mechanism of technological innovation; different regions of the Yangtze River Delta digital finance role in the regional manufacturing high-quality development is heterogeneous, of which the role of Anhui Province has the greatest effect.
