Exploring Approaches to Integrating Mathematical Culture in University Mathematics Teaching

  • This paper elucidates the necessity of integrating mathematical culture into university mathematics education. Three approaches for incorporating mathematical culture into university mathematics teaching are proposed, namely, showcasing the applications of mathematics, revealing the connections between mathematical concepts and theorems, and integrating ideological and political elements into classroom teaching. The paper also discusses how to effectively manage the relationship between the integration of mathematical culture, instructional content, and the pace of teaching in the educational process.
