Analysis of the Shanghai Postal Workers' Association under the Leadership of the Communist Party of China (1925—1927)

  • In August 1925, the Shanghai Postal Workers' Association was established. As a labor union organization representing the interests of workers under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, it pioneered the establishment of postal workers’ associations in our country. After its establishment, the Shanghai Postal Workers’ Association, under the leadership of the Party, worked towards improving workers’ welfare, safeguarding their interests, and rescuing arrested workers. Under the guidance of the Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions, the association made preparations for revolutionary movements and formed a postal worker patrol team to participate in the Shanghai Workers’ Armed Uprising, making significant contributions to the success of the third armed uprising of Shanghai workers.
