The Localized Talents Cultivation of Bachelor of Translation and Interpreting in Anhui Province : Exploration and Practice

The “Localization” trends of provincial serving is one of the core objectives of cultivating BTI (Bachelor of Translation and Interpreting) . In the past decade (2013- ), 9 local colleges and universities in Anhui province has explored the cultivation model of localized talents of BTI, and taken it into feasible practice. Being localizedness-oriented, cultivation program and courses are established, locally-oriented coursebooks are compiled, locally-distinctive translation corpuses (cases) and faculty training are undertaken, diversified tests, training and practice of translating ability of BTI are carried out from on-campus and off-campus resources. The exploration and practice is of great referencing significance to other provinces (municipalities) in cultivating localized talents of BTI.
