Exploring and Implementing Talent Cultivation Modes in Metallurgical Engineering for the New Economy

To adapt to the green, low-carbon, and intelligent transformation of the metallurgical industry, the Metallurgical Engineering program at Anhui University of Technology has adopted a “Holistic Engineering Perspective” in talent cultivation, guided by which it emphasizes the reinforcement of contemporary engineering capabilities as its main thread. By focusing on the integrated curriculum system, the engineering-oriented faculty, and the diversified practical platforms, the program has undertaken exploration and practice in talent cultivation models. This is achieved through intensifying the integration of teaching and research, the combination of school and enterprise cooperation, and the implementation of both engineering program accreditation and New Engineering initiatives. These efforts have effectively nurtured modern engineering abilities among students.
