Abstract
In some comprehensive universities in China, the evaluation of art faculty lacks scientific rigor, with assessment orientations, criteria, and content failing to adequately consider the distinctive characteristics of art disciplines, thus impeding the professional development of art educators. A comprehensive university’s approach to evaluating art faculty should be forward-looking, emphasizing intrinsic evaluation, devising rational assessment indicators and hierarchical structures, and further enhancing performance management at the departmental level.
