Abstract
Climate issues are getting worse, and the “double carbon” goals have attracted widespread attention of scholars. In order to analyze the current research frontiers and hotspot differences in the field of “double carbon” at home and abroad, in this paper, scientific metrology was used to analyze the distribution characteristics of literature in the spatial and temporal dimension and the dynamic evolution of research frontiers and hotspots for the core data sets of CNKI and WOS from 2009 to 2022 on the “double carbon” goals. The result shows that the field of “double carbon” is at stage of research wave, and the number of publications has exploded since 2020, and the core strength of research is concentrated in western developed countries. There are differences in the focus of research, with the foreign countries conducting “double carbon” research in the area of biomass and solar energy utilization and other technologies, while domestic research focuses on policy governance, and low-carbon transition has become a research hotspot. This paper proposes that the future development direction of “double carbon” will focuses on low carbon technology and model innovation, with innovation to promote low carbon transformation.
