Innovative Application of Elements of Gold and Silver Sachet of Tang Dynasty Based on Shape Grammar and Topological Configuration

By analyzing the visual characteristics of the gold and silver sachets from Tang Dynasty, the patterns on the sachets were extracted. And the extracted pattern elements were then subjected to design through shape grammar. Innovative composition methods based on topological configuration and principles of formal beauty such as symmetry, balance, and rhythm were employed for design. Finally, based on the innovative visual elements derived from gold and silver sachet patterns of Tang Dynasty, application design practices were carried out. The aim is to promote the integration of traditional culture and modern cultural design, expand the visual form of gold and silver sachets of Tang Dynasty, and facilitate the dissemination of traditional culture.
