Abstract
Under the framework of new engineering education development, this study addresses issues such as outdated teaching content, insufficient practical and innovative capabilities among students, and inadequate integration of ideological and political education in the Chemical Engineering Principles course. A progressive curriculum system — “Knowledge-Practice-Innovation-Competency” — was established. By restructuring teaching content and developing an intelligent teaching platform, the study promotes knowledge transfer through engineering case studies, strengthens engineering training via the integration of simulation and experimentation, drives innovative capabilities through practical projects, and fosters value internalization through systematic ideological and political education. The implementation of this teaching model enhances the advanced nature and challenge level of the course, while improving students’ academic performance, innovative practice, and comprehensive competencies.
