Investigation and Analysis of Mass Sports Characteristics in Perth, Australia

Based on field visits, investigations and in-depth interviews conducted in Perth, this paper explores the developmental characteristics of local mass sports. The study shows that mass sports in Perth feature a solid mass base, a wide variety of sports events, complete supporting sports facilities, and a popular club-based exercise model. Sports policies, school physical education, local traditional culture and comprehensive sports environment are the core factors driving the development of local mass sports. China can build a coordinated mass sports system integrating schools, communities and sports clubs, strengthen scientific fitness guidance, optimize public exercise modes, guide residents to establish a lifelong sports philosophy, and boost the in-depth integration of national fitness and national health.
