Abstract
Questionnaire survey has been conducted over 361 randomly selected students of a university to study relationships between Internet addiction and the students' coping methods, loneliness as well as self-esteem with adopted scales of the above respective variables. The result shows that differences of Internet addiction can be seen in aspects of gender, grade, programs and source places of students;there is an obvious negative correlation between college students' Internet addiction and positive coping, and an obvious positive correlation between the addiction and negative coping, loneliness and self-esteem. It can be concluded that loneliness and self-esteem can directly predict Internet addiction;positive and negative coping can indirectly predict Internet addiction through acting on loneliness.
