Abstract: The design foundation of Nonferrous Metallurgy Factory is a required course for students majoring in nonferrous metallurgy of metallurgical engineering specialty. It can cultivate students' ability to comprehensively utilize the knowledge of what they have learned to carry out metallurgical design. The case teaching method has been introduced into the course teaching with satisfying teaching effect by choosing cases according to the nonferrous melting process.
