Abstract:
English-speaking countries have a wide range of social and cultural knowledge. At the same time, cultural presuppositions are widespread, affecting the understanding of English majors.
A Survey of English-speaking Countries is helpful to make up for the students' lack of presupposition of social historical and cultural knowledge in English-speaking countries and correct the misinterpretation of relevant cultural presuppositions. Teachers should make full preparations before explaining a particular cultural topic, establish a stable teaching team for related courses, and at the same time pay attention to combining classroom teaching with students' after class autonomous learning.
