Abstract: The styling, composition and color application of paper-cut give new vitality and expressive power to children's picture books. While inheriting and following the traditional art of paper-cut, it is necessary to proceed from children's aesthetic characteristics and unique perspective, take "freedom and frankness" and "simple childish interest" as the theme and axis to diverge thinking and integrate the appropriate paper-cut elements into modern creation so that excellent children's picture books in line with modern cultural background can be created. In the end, the new generation of children will understand their country's profound cultural heritage and enhance their national identity.
