旅游景区双语语言景观实探及译写研究

A Study on Exploration and Translation of Bilingual Linguistic Landscape in Scenic Spots

  • 摘要: 旅游公示语作为公示语的重要组成部分,是旅游部门与游客进行有效沟通的重要渠道和手段。但目前旅游景区英文公示语存在不少问题。要提高翻译质量、改善语言景观,译者首先要有牢固的汉语语法基础,对于通用类公示语,应依据《公共服务领域英文译写规范》来翻译;对于特色类公示语,译者需要深入了解特定景区的历史文化背景、借助大量的平行语料,利用自己的汉英双语基本功和所掌握翻译技巧来翻译。

     

    Abstract: Tourism public notices and signs contribute to an important part of public notices and signs. They play significant role as ways to efficiently communicate between tourism departments and customers. However, there are many problems in tourism public notices and signs. In order to improve translation quality and linguistic landscape, translators should be good at Chinese grammar. They should translate general public notices and signs according to Guideline for the Use of English in Public Service Areas. Concerning specific public notices and signs, they should know better historical and cultural background of the scenic spot certain public notices and signs are in. Furthermore, they should use large corpus and their own bilingual abilities and translation skills.
