Abstract: Modernization of colleges and universities governance ability is the best way to expand the functions and mission of universities, and is also the focus of modern university system construction and the modernization of education. Colleges and universities governance ability and the modernization of higher education complement each other and have a causal relationship. It is necessary to strengthen the governance ability of colleges and universities from four aspects:building a multi-coordinated governance structure system, enhancing the initiative and creativity of governance subjects, establishing and perfecting the legal system of governance subjects, and improving the scientific nature and rationality of governance system, so as to strive to improve the modernization level of higher education.
