Abstract: Interpretive Theory of Translation holds that interpretation can not be constrained by the form of source language. The content of the Premier's press-conference is very political, with its topic keeping pace with times, the expressions exhibiting Chinese characteristics and rich cultural connotations. Hence, interpreters should convey the exact meaning of the source language by getting the sense, combining cognitive knowledge and reconstructing sentences rather than sticking to form of source language.
