Abstract: As an important branch of translation criticism, translation quality assessment (TQA) has attracted more and more attention. Si's TQA Model makes a systematic analysis of vocabulary and grammar from the perspective of sentence level, combs the mode, field and tenor from the perspective of macro discourse, compares the translation and the original from the perspective of concept and interpersonal meaning, and assesses the quality of the whole translation by excluding "positive deviation" and "negative equivalence". Si's TQA Model is applied in the study of Huawei's company profile translation from Chinese into English in this paper. Results show that the translation deviates from the original, and there are still some deficiencies in this assessment model, such as the lack of accuracy in qualitative analysis and the lack of clarity in quantitative criteria.
