Abstract: The literary and artistic standards of Su Shi’s prose, poetry, calligraphy have reached the peak of the perfection and remained the most distinctive in the commanding heights of the times. Su Shi carries the cultural spirits of the Chinese nation: first, his verses, ditties, odes and songs are the model of the Chinese language; second, his diligence in government affairs and love for the people are the model of government officials; third, his attitude towards life is the model of living wisdom; last, his kindness and friendliness is the model of making friends.
