Abstract: The accountability work of the party is an important starting point for the party organizations in colleges and universities to promote the all-round and strict governance of the party. The newly revised Accountability Regulations of the CPC in 2019 provides an authoritative basis for the scientific, strict and standardized implementation of the accountability work of the party in colleges and universities. At present, there are still some prominent shortcomings in the accountability work of the party in colleges and universities, such as weak political nature, unclear connotation and unclear boundary. Therefore, the party organizations in colleges and universities must deeply understand the core meaning of the regulations, and implement the regulations comprehensively, systematically and solidly. In addition, it is necessary to clarify the main responsibility, sort out the list of rights and responsibilities, strengthen the thinking of law and discipline, continue to improve the political nature, accuracy and standardization of the party's accountability work, urge the party organizations at all levels and the leading cadres of the party to be responsible for their duties, and protect the initiative of business planning and entrepreneurship, so as to promote the high-quality development of various undertakings in colleges and universities.
