Abstract: One of the important tasks of cultural communication is to build national image. In the process of “Telling Chinese Sports Stories”, “our great power images” should be fully displayed with long history through sports stories, which show the image of a big Country in the East featuring political integrity, economic development, cultural prosperity, social stability, people unity and beautiful mountains and rivers. Sports stories show the image of a responsible major country with peaceful and common development, upholding international equity and justice and making contributions to mankind. Sports stories show the image of a big socialist country that is more open, friendly, hopeful and energetic.
