Abstract: The training plan for excellent engineers is a major reform project of higher engineering education to improve students' engineering practice ability. Starting from the problems existing in undergraduate teaching practice and according to the relevant requirements of the training plan for excellent engineers of energy and power major, improve the course content, optimize the teaching mode, set up an innovative practice platform, reform the assessment and evaluation methods and improve the practical teaching effect so as to effectively achieve the expected goals of excellent engineer training.
